1. What is Creo 2.0?
Creo, PTC’s new product family of design software, helps companies unlock potential within their organizations by making people more efficient, enabling better data sharing and design reviews with customers and suppliers, and preventing unforeseen service and manufacturing issues.

2. What apps are available in the Creo 2.0 release?
Creo apps are right-sized, stand-alone solutions to support the role-based needs of each member of the product design team. Creo 2.0 offers the following apps to support the crossfunctional team:

3. How does Creo fit within PTC’s Product Development System (PDS)?
Creo is an integral part of PTC’s Product Development System.It enables manufacturers to create high-fidelity, digital product
definitions and optimize key product development processes.Creo provides a complete set of capabilities, including 3D solid modeling, surfacing, digital human modeling, rendering, data interoperability, routed systems design, simulation, tolerance
analysis, and NC and tooling design. Creo was designed to work with PTC’s other industry leading solutions as a system, seamlessly connecting to Windchill®, Mathcad® and Arbortext®.

4. What packages are available for Creo 2.0?
PTC offers the broadest range of powerful product development packages on the market today. Creo is available in
packages scaled to deliver the right app to the right person,at the right time. The scalability of these packages allows you
to add new users and expand capabilities (including Windchill,Mathcad, and Arbortext capabilities) with new products as your needs grow.

The packages are optimized for the engineer, industrial designer, concept engineer, analyst and design reviewer.
These packages help customers streamline the purchasing process, deployment and maintenance for the new Creo products.No matter which package you choose, you’ll get the industry’s fastest, most powerful tools.

5. Briefly describe a few specific new capabilities and benefits for existing Pro/ENGINEER customers in Creo 2.0.
Creo Parametric provides over one hundred new capabilities for current users of Pro/ENGINEER! Users can double their design productivity with the modern user experience, streamlined workflows, and time-saving capabilities.
Designed for individual roles throughout the product development lifecycle, Creo apps are right-sized to deliver the best functionality for the role that needs it.
In addition to the new capabilities in Creo Parametric, there are new apps and extensions that drive even more benefits during design. For example, Creo Flexible Modeling Extension gives Creo Parametric users more design flexibility and speed.You can easily select and edit geometry including rounds and patterns.

PTC University can help you get up to speed quickly on Creo 2.0 with training for both end-users and administrators. PTC University offers instructor-led classes in a variety of formats including onsite, virtual and traditional classroom settings as well as eLearning libraries which include unlimited access to all Web-based Creo training materials.
PTC University offers LearningExchange, the go-to place for free tutorials on PTC products. There are over 200 tutorials for Creo.

9. When will Creo 2.0 be available?
All of the Creo 2.0 apps are available now, with the exception of Creo Options Modeler, which is expected to be available in the summer of 2012.

10. How can I get Creo 2.0?
PTC is no longer automatically shipping CDs for new product releases to maintenance customers. As with other maintenance releases, you can conveniently download Creo 2.0 or order your free CD from the PTC support site. If you are not an active maintenance customer, please contact the PTC Maintenance Support Team to get back on maintenance.
